How it works

Read between the lines of every lab report

Labless combines three things a quick appointment rarely has time for: every calculation, every combination, and the right follow-up question.

The four steps

  1. Upload any report

PDF, photo or a portal export. Labless recognizes the test, the unit and the reference range, then converts everything to one standard.

    • Any US lab or clinic
    • mg/dL and mmol/L handled
    • Flags internal inconsistencies
  2. Answer a short check-in

Questions appear only when your results call for them. Snoring matters when hemoglobin runs high. Heartburn pills matter when B12 is in play.

    • About two minutes
    • Validated screening scales
    • Skip anything you like
  3. See your hidden tests

Each estimate shows the markers it was built from, the confidence level, and the expensive test it may spare you.

    • Strong, moderate or screening signal
    • Plain-language explanation
    • Sources for every rule
  4. Know the next step

A short list ordered by value: the test that answers the most for the least money, what you can skip, and what to ask your doctor.

    • Doctor-ready summary
    • Cost-aware suggestions
    • Urgent values flagged first

Example

One question that explains three results

A sample report from a young adult looks normal, with a few values near the edge. Labless looks for one explanation that covers all of them.

Hematocrit 46%High-normal, unusual next to insulin resistance
Calcitonin 11.05Right under the upper limit
CRP 2.06 mg/LLow-grade inflammation
Do you smoke?

Smoking explains all three at once. One answer turns three loose ends into one clear next step, and saves an anxious round of thyroid tests.

Boundaries

What Labless doesn't do

  • It doesn't diagnose disease or prescribe treatment.
  • It doesn't replace imaging or a biopsy when you need one. It helps you know whether you do.
  • It doesn't guess silently. Low confidence is shown as low confidence.
  • It doesn't sell your data to advertisers. Ever.

Questions

Which reports can I upload?

Standard blood work from any US lab, clinic or hospital portal: complete blood count, metabolic panels, lipids, thyroid, hormones and more.

How is this different from asking a chatbot?

A chatbot explains the values on the page. Labless estimates results for tests you never took, using models with measured accuracy, and shows the confidence of each estimate.

Do I need new blood work?

No. Start with the report you already have. If a gap matters, Labless suggests the single cheapest test that fills it.

Will my doctor take this seriously?

Every finding links to the markers and published rules behind it, and the summary is written for a clinician to read in a minute.
